Halloween is Coming!! Do You Have Your Costume Ready?!

A couple dressed up in Dia de Los Muertos regalia.

Oh em gee! Halloween is coming. It is seriously my favorite holiday. Instead of a Christmas village, I have a Halloween village and I never miss dressing up. I think that is where my love for making originally came from. My mom and Gramma always made me the most extravagant Halloween costumes. Here are my Halloween costumes from the past three years:

Are you making any fun costumes? This year, my annual Halloween party will have a theme of animation! So my husband and I are dressing up as Woody and Bo Peep from Toy Story 4! I am super excited about it.

I’ll be using Threadbear’s Frisco pattern and modify it for Bo Peep’s outfit! I’ll also use this free Cape tutorial to make her cape from Thread Ridinghood.

For Woody, I’ll be using the Negroni Shirt from Collette Patterns, and this vest pattern from Makerist.

So what are you making for Halloween? How are you using indie patterns to create me-made costumes for you or your kids? Comment below! And I love to see your pictures too!! Costumes are my favorite! Happy fall ya’ll!
